Tourist Information Mühlhausen is part of Wirtschaftsbetriebe Mühlhausen GmbH and has various tasks. In addition to providing services for guests and citizens in the office, it produces brochures, develops new products and creates offers. Work in supra-regional tourist associations, such as the Thuringian Towns Association or the Bach Working Group, promotes marketing as a tourist location. Creating networks and working on joint projects is another area of activity.

The association "Zurück in die Mitte e.V." (Z.i.M.), in cooperation with the city of Mühlhausen, will once again organise the first open Sunday of the year as "Autofrühling 2023". It will take place on the Sunday before Easter, 2 April 2023, from 1 to 6 p.m. in Mühlhausen's city centre in the area of Obermarkt - Steinweg - Kornmarkt - Untermarkt.

Around ten car dealerships and three bicycle dealers will present their models and be available for tips and questions. Several clubs will also be represented, including the Mühlhausen Trabant Club, the "Oldtimer- und Motorsport Freunde Mühlhausen e.V." and the radio club "DARC Ortsverband Mühlhausen".

At Untermarkt there will be a children's carousel, bouncy castle, crêpes and another children's activity. In addition, the latest e-bikes will be on display here. Live music will be provided at Obermarkt, Stätte and Untermarkt.

For the participating traders, craftsmen and other actors, the costs for special use will be waived on this day.

Together with the organisers and all participants, the Mühlhausen town council is looking forward to an open sales start to spring in Mühlhausen.

The medieval imperial town of Mühlhausen in Thuringia is steeped in history and is a gem with a historic town centre that is also an area monument. The nickname "muhlhousia turrita" - the tower-adorned Mühlhausen - originated as early as the Middle Ages. The name still applies today because no matter from which direction you approach the town the numerous church towers can be seen from afar.

The town's period of prosperity was in the Middle Ages and its stony witnesses still exist today. When exploring Mühlhausen, you can discover numerous Gothic churches, monuments, domestic architecture and half-timbered buildings as well as former mill sites. The entire historic town entre impresses and inspires at the same time.
