You will cycle on a very well-maintained, flat cycle path through a beautiful landscape along the Unstrut, past castles, a former monastery and several other sights. The cycle path is very well signposted and will make you want to explore further stretches between the source of the Unstrut near Kefferhausen in Eichsfeld and its mouth near Naumburg in the Saale-Unstrut region. Be there when you and your fellow cyclists are welcomed by the mayor on the stage at Neumarkt at 1 p.m. and the golden air pump is handed over to Mühlhausen as the next venue.
