The gourmet tour begins at the Brauhaus zum Löwen, which is located in the old town centre of the medieval imperial city of Mühlhausen. After a tasty beer tasting with home-brewed beer, you start your hike westwards to the Schwanenteich recreation area.
On the way there, you will see the almost completely preserved town wall, three mills, a historic viewpoint and the most beautiful well house in Thuringia. You can enjoy fresh water at the sinkhole spring.
The destination of your route hike is the Bratwurst Museum at Mühlhäuser Stadtwald. An original Thuringian grilled sausage awaits you here! You will also be ‘served’ with entertaining information about beer and bratwurst. You can also visit the museum for a fee.
Cost (incl. beer tasting, guided tour and bratwurst): €15.00 per person plus Hiking Day badge
The hiking day badge can be purchased for €10.00 at the Mühlhausen Tourist Information Centre. Participation is possible from the age of 18.
