The ‘New Cemetery’ in Mühlhausen is regarded by experts as the most significant cemetery complex in Thuringia in terms of landscape architecture; it has been a listed building since 1995. The layout of the site still bears witness today to the innovative garden culture of the 20th century.
This well-thought-out and lovingly maintained site will be showcased during a 90-minute walk. A key focus will be the sculptures by the Mühlhausen-based sculptor Walter Krause. Advance registration and ticket purchase are required from the Mühlhausen Tourist Information Centre, tel. 03601 40 47 70. The walk will start and end at the main entrance to the New Cemetery in Mühlhausen.
