To mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of the artist and art teacher Karl Ullrich (7 February 1874 - 25 December 1964), who worked in Mühlhausen, the tour focuses on his designs for the Mühlhausen emergency money from 1921. Inspired by the events and people surrounding Thomas Müntzer and the uprising in May 1525 in Mühlhausen and the surrounding area, the artist designed motifs for serial notes for the Mühlhausen emergency money. They reflect the differently perceived role and significance of Thomas Müntzer and at the same time reflect Ullrich's view of the Peasants' War.
