The Evangelical Lutheran church of St. Mary Magdalene is located in Hollenbach, a district of the town of Mühlhausen/Thuringia in the Unstrut-Hainich district of Thuringia. The parish of Hollenbach belongs to the parish of Horsmar.

There was already a Romanesque predecessor building. However, the current rectangular hall church with a recessed, rectangular choir tower was built between 1724 and 1731, retaining a Gothic church tower without the former apse. The tower has three storeys and has a pointed tent roof on the stump of a protruding pyramid roof. When the interior was renovated around 1880, the choir was redesigned. The nave is spanned by a painted wooden barrel vault. The painting in the middle by H. C. Kirchhoff depicts the Holy Trinity surrounded by the evangelists and angels. It was heavily reworked in 1771, 1889 and 1972. The gallery dates from the time of construction and has rococo ornamentation. The fields of the balustrades are painted with scenes from the life of Jesus, created in 1890 by Luis Müller from Hollenbach. The late Gothic baptismal font is decorated with rich tracery. The pulpit, dating from the first half of the 17th century, has curved columns and carved figures of Christ and the evangelists. It was heavily reworked in 1968/69. A statue of St. Barbara, created around 1500, is also part of the church furnishings.
