Telecommunications Museum
The telecommunications museum is a contemporary testimony to the history of the development of telecommunications in northern Thuringia from its origins to the present on historic Mühlhausen soil. The visitors are shown numerous mainly functional equipment of the telephone and teletype system, as well as documentation from 1891. Furthermore, teleprinter devices from the years 1943 - 1990 for telegram transmission in Mühlhausen and the surrounding area are presented, as well as those which were used in the companies. In addition, we offer several "open days", an "open monument day" and a "museum day" during the year. A visit to our museum is always possible by appointment!
