Then why not enjoy a wonderful Hainich time with us in Eigenrieden, a dreamy place in the middle of Germany, in the Mühlhausen - Bad Langensalza - Eisenach triangle, not far from the Hessian-Thuringian border and close to the "Wartburg Hainich" World Heritage region. Here, in our small village, which is over 750 years old, you will meet friendly people and can enjoy the typical village atmosphere.
Our surroundings, the Hainichland, are characterized by beautiful landscapes with meadows and fields, towns worth seeing and varied sights - and above all a lot of forest.
Almost on our doorstep is a unique beech forest that stretches almost 30 kilometers across the northwestern Thuringian mountain range, the Hainich. Our village is also the starting point of the traditional Rennstieg hiking trail, which runs along the entire densely forested Hainich ridge and through the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Hainich National Park. The hiking trail over the historic Mühlhäuser Landgraben also starts here in Eigenrieden. No matter where you immerse yourself in our forest and enjoy it with all your senses: Here you can quickly forget the stresses of everyday life.

Our small, lovingly designed "Hainich-Zeit" vacation farm is located right at the entrance to the village of Eigenrieden. Our three cozy vacation apartments can accommodate a total of 12 visitors. A rustic courtyard with seating areas and barbecue facilities is available. On request, we can offer groups (from 8 people) homemade regional breakfast and dinner in our rustic fireplace room, our "Kuhstall".
